In the spring of 2024, Simon Poell worked as a student intern for the Civic Institute on various educational projects.
From September 2024 to September 2026, he worked as an executive assistant. In this role, he was responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting simulation exercises, as well as conducting further research on project-related political and social issues.
Since fall 2024, Simon Poell has been pursuing a master’s degree in “Political Communication” in Düsseldorf and will complete the program in spring 2027. His areas of focus and interest include EU politics, the influence of social media on political processes, and the European Union’s enlargement and integration policies.
Since September 2026, he has held the position of project coordinator at the Civic Institute. His responsibilities include, in particular, planning and coordinating simulation games and workshops, liaising with schools and partner organizations, and further developing political education formats.
