After graduating from high school in 2021, Clemens Witzel gained his first experience in youth work during a voluntary social year at a community school near Lübeck.

In the winter semester of 2022, he initially began studying Socioeconomics but later decided to pursue a dual-subject Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology in order to place greater emphasis on political issues. His academic focus lies in international relations, the political system of Germany, climate policy, and the European Union.

Since 2024, Clemens Witzel has been working as a student assistant at the Civic Institute.
