As part of her studies, Emily Voigtland focuses on the topics of gender equality, social inequality, and forms of political participation.
Since 2026, she has been working as a research assistant at the chair of sociology V at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and is also involved in the EU Youth Ambassadors Project. From May to July 2026, she was an intern at the state agency for civic education in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Since 2020, Emily Voigtland has volunteered as a youth leader in a boy and girl scouts organization, where she supervises a group of children and teenagers once a week. She joined the organization as a child and has since helped plan and organize many summer camps and activities.
