Since 2001, Florian Aue has been working as a lecturer in civic education.

From 2008 to 2012, he worked as a research assistant for the online projects "EurViews", "Europabilder" and "edumeres.net" for the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research. The outcome of these projects was designed and evaluated collaborative research platform Usabilitytests.

From 2007 to 2014 he worked as a freelance journalist and moderator for Radio Tonkuhle in Hildesheim. Since then he has also worked freelance for various local media.

In 2013, he initially started as a research assistant, and since October 2016 he has been working as an editor and research assistant at the HAWK Academy of Applied Science and Art in Hildesheim /Holzminden/Göttingen.

Since 1994, Florian Aue has been working as a volunteer for the AFS - Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V. (Intercultural Meetings) in the areas of employee training, membership magazine and as a media coordinator for the European trimester exchange program ECTP in Brussels.

In July 2013 and 2014, he was a co-lecturer of a one-week seminar on "Sustainability from an Intercultural Perspective" for the Summer Academy in Istanbul (InterCultur GmbH and Karlshochschule International University) (http://summeracademy-istanbul.org/).

He works as a advisor and lecturer for the CIVIC Institute for International Education, also in France, Belgium, Poland and Georgia.
