In 2007, she took part in a training at the C * A * P (Center for Applied Policy Research) for the use of simulation games as method in civic education. Since then she has led simulation games on various topics.

In May 2010, Christiane was as a participant of the "Europe in a suitcase" program in southwestern Ukraine. She engaged in a German-Polish-Ukrainian team in a dialogue-tour with local people about the EU and Ukraine.

From 2011 to 2013 she worked as a cultural manager of the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations e.V. (ifa), sent to the Czech Republic. During this period she worked inter alia with CIVIC - Institute. Holger-Michael Arndt and Dr. Alexander Burka developed for their host institution the simulation game "Frau Deutschmannová, how could that happen ?!". In addition, she designed further education courses for the staff of the host institution.

During the studies of “Social Work” at HAW Landshut she worked as assistant for Prof. Dr. Mihri Özdoğan and designed in her thesis a simulation game on racism-critical civic education against Islam-ophobia.

From 2017 to 2019 she coordinated the volunteer refugee aid workers. After parental leave, a change of employment took her to the refugee service at the youth welfare service in Landshut-Landkreis. There she is in charge of unaccompanied minor refugees and families with a refugee background.

She works as a lecturer for the CIVIC - Institute for International Education.
