Edgar Lenski was a researcher at the Walter Hallstein-Institut for European Constitutional Law at Humboldt-University Berlin (WHI) from 2000 to 2002. Since then he is a Fellow at the Institute and a lecturer at the Law Faculty of Humboldt-University. From 2002 to 2010 he also taught at the German-Polish Law School (Humboldt-University and Uniwersytet Wrocławski) and - as a visiting lecturer - at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Since 2006 Edgar works for the Federal Minstry of Economics, notably on European Affairs (i.a. in the EU Law Unit of the federal government).

Edgar Lenski has published on EU and International Law. Since 2000 he teaches regularly for civil servants from Germany (Federal and Länder level), France and Poland.

His main focus is:

  • Implementation and transposition of European Law and European Policy for the public administration
  • EU capability of the public administration
  • Institutional issues of the European Union
  • Proceedings before the European Court of Justice
  • Implementation of EU law and its impact on national administrative practice
