• Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences (Media, Politics and Society) at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.

Havva Sümbül Baran has completed an internship at Radio Köln and gained experience as a private tutor in German and English. In her free time, she is a memeber of a theatre collective that brings socio-political issues tot he stage through artsistic performances.

Her particular interests include political education for young people, as well as social inequality, migration, peace research and parliamentarism.

From early February to mid-March 2026, Havva Sümbül Baran completed an internship at CIVIC Institute to gain practical experience in political education.

Since April 2026, she has been working as a student tutor for simulations and workshops at the CIVIC Institute.

From August 2026, Havva Sümbül Baran has been working as a projekt assistant in the field of political education. Her responsibilities include supporting the management as well as organizing and coordinating simulation games and seminars.
